Why Singing?

Using our voice is the first way we express ourselves!

This holiday your child could learn so much about their voice.

SING YOUR HEART OUT!

During this 5 day holiday program your child will explore their voice and express themselves through singing and song writing.
  • We will learn all about our singing anatomies and how to use our bodies to get the best out of our voice.
  • We'll learn how to protect our voice from damage and how to take care of our voice through exercise and good nutrition.
  • We'll learn how to use a microphone, basic stagecraft and how to beatbox.
  • We'll write lyrics together, we'll write music together, we'll sing together and we'll record our own song!
For your child to get the most out of these school holiday activities, they need to feel confident about their singing abilities and to be interested in writing their own songs.

Our next SING YOUR HEART OUT program runs during the second week of the September school holidays from Monday the 27th September to Friday the 1st of October.

Programs cost $330 per participant.

YOU NEED TO KNOW

Independent Music holiday activities take place at 19 Campbell St Bowen Hills from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

All programs run for 5 days and then are repeated throughout the holidays.

Meals are not supplied and participants will need to bring appropriate food for morning and afternoon tea and lunch.

All Independent Music tutors are professional music instructors. All tutors possess blue cards. Program participant numbers are capped to ensure your childs' safety and to ensure that your child gets the most out of their school holiday activities. If a child is unruly, disruptive or refuses to heed instruction they may be removed from their program and all fees will be forfeit.

Fees for Independent Music Holiday Programs range from $220 to $330 per week. Prices are indicated clearly within program descriptions. Fees must be paid in advance and are non refundable, but may be transferred at the discretion of Independent Music.

Bookings may be made by calling 3852 1116 after 1pm weekdays or emailing holidays@independentmusic.com.au A non refundable booking fee of $66 will be charged to ensure your childs' place in our holiday programs.

All programs have a minimum and maximum number – if a program is not taking place all fees will be refunded.
